Visiting on a weekday or prefer to use public transport? The Waterbus is a great alternative. Line 20 takes you from Rotterdam or Dordrecht in the direction of Kinderdijk. You can choose between two routes: transfer at Ridderkerk to the Driehoeksveer ferry (note: this requires a separate ticket) and reach Kinderdijk in just a few minutes, or get off at the Kade stop in Alblasserdam and cycle to the entrance of the windmill area in about 15 minutes.
