The Kinderdijk-cafe is the ideal place to relax during your visit to the World Heritage Site. After a tour with the boat and a visit to our museum mills and pumping stations, it’s time for something to drink and/or eat! From a delicious cappuccino with oat milk to a locally brewed beer, you will find it in the Kinderdijk-cafe.
When the weather is good, the stunning outdoor terrace above the water offers an excellent place to take a break. Here you have, if we do say so ourselves, the most beautiful view of the area and perhaps even the Netherlands!
Enjoy the view on the terrace with a delicious cup of coffee or a local beer
The Visitors Center, with the Kinderdijk-cafe inside, was opened in 2019 by Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands. The construction was part of the redevelopment of the entrance area of the World Heritage Site. In addition to the Kinderdijk-cafe, you will also find the Gift Shop and our Reception/VVV information point here. Don’t forget to go to the roof to enjoy a phenomenal panoramic view over the area with the nineteen windmills of Kinderdijk!
